FARMHOUSE SUMMER SWAP, MY NEW ARCH AND FLOWERS

My partner for the Farmhouse Summer Swap was Cindi at Cindis Country Corner. She really spoiled me. Here is what she sent.
The little raggedy ann is adorable. The candle is battery operated.   I love everything she sent.  Thanks Cindi for spoiling me.

This is what I sent to Cindi. You can view more pictures on Cindis blog.  Amy at Bumble Bee Lane  put on this swap. Thanks Amy for continuing these swaps. They are so much fun.

In an earlier post I mentioned that my husband was going to make a new arch. Well this  is what he came  up with. He took old washboards and put them on the sides of the arch and added shelves to them so I can display things on them.
Our crabapple trees were so pretty this spring.
The Dame's Rocket was so pretty.

Our Daisies are in full bloom.

Sweet Williams add lots of color to the garden.

A couple of years ago we had purchased a yellow and a white  Lupine.  This is the first year they have bloomed.

Behind the white Lupine is our Wigielia bush.
Here is the new table my husband made. I had seen a picture in a book of a table with the hearts cut out.  I  showed it to my husband and he come up with his own version. I love it. For those of you that are on facebook I also have a page for my crafts. To keep up with what I am doing follow Ginger Creme Hollow on facebook.

SPRING TIDINGS SWAP, GOODBYE TIGER AND MY BROKEN ARCH

I recently particpated in a spring swap put on by Amy of Bumble Bee Lane. My partner was Kim of Blackberry Crows Prims. Here is what she sent.
There was sunflower seeds inside the cute little bag, bird on a bedspring, bunny, carrots and the towel underneath, the cute little basket with an egg, the adorable bumble bee and the picture of birds. I loved everything. Thanks so much Kim. Down below is what I sent Kim.Thanks Amy for putting on another great swap. In other news, last Friday was a very sad day for us. Our cat Tiger became very ill. He was very old. We think he was maybe around 20. We had to make the decision of having him put to sleep. He was loved by all, lived a long life and will be missed alot. One last piece of news to share is about my broken arch. Last year we noticed it was getting too shady for the flowers so we decided to have some of the branches cut on our oak tree. A couple of weeks ago a friend came and cut the branches. When they fell down they sort of bounced sideways and caught the arch and this is what it looks like now. So my husband said he planned on making me a new one anyways so we will see what he comes up with. I will keep you posted. Might be awhile though, since we still have snow here.
